100% Disk Usage

My disk usage will sometimes sit at a normal level (right now as I am typing it is at a nice 2%), but frequently it spikes up to 100%, seemingly at random. Sometimes it will slow down when I open a new program, sometimes it will slow down when I am doing literally nothing. I keep the task manager open frequently to see when it slows down, but there really isn't much of a pattern...

I've read many of the forums posted on this site and other sites about this issue, but nothing seems to work. I just reset my PC, and I haven't downloaded any programs to it yet. Some of the things I have tried before include-

Checking for viruses- none exist

Disabled Windows Search

Disabled SuperFetch

Reset Virtual Memory

Updated drivers

Performed chkdsk.exe command- no issues found

I don't have Google Chrome or Skype

I am not running the StorAHCI.sys driver

Removed seeing tips from Microsoft/ diagnostic tracking

Windows is updated to the latest version

Reset PC

I'm sure I am forgetting a couple of things...

Here is info about my system-

ASUS Q524UQK

Intel Core i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70 GHz

NVIDIA GeForce 940MX

Seagate ST2000LM007-1R8174 2TB HDD

Here are a couple pictures of the task manager and resource monitor when the is problem at its worst.

I got the clean install done, it does seem to lessen my problem. I have been using my laptop for a while and have been installing updates/programs/etc. and the disk transfer rate is dramatically increased a lot of times. Occasionally, the disk does still shoot up to 100% usage when it shouldn't be. I notice some of the same programs seem to be causing the problem- wsappx and Antimalware Service Executable pop up frequently. Also, my CPU usage has shot up to 100% a few times, once again for seemingly no good reason. Overall, it seems to have worked at least a little bit.

Whenever I got to this step, I get this message...it is the same for all 4 partitions. I read that i may need to boot in a different way, or perhaps change the partition style, but I am unsure how I should proceed.

Update: I’ve been able to go and change my boot settings to Legacy by enabling CSM support, but I still get the same error message pictured above.

Second update: I managed to get past this step, I just went in the command prompt and cleaned the disk. I will follow up about how my computer runs after I’ve reinstalled Windows 10.
