Necessary VS Unneccessary programs/apps/processes running on my PC (Windows 10)

There are soooo many things running on my PC, some I don't even recognize, which obviously makes my PC run horribly.  Is there a list of absolutely necessary programs/apps that windows 10 must have to run correctly so that I or anyone else wondering the same thing can get some of this stuff off our PCs?  A list of needs and don't needs is what I am looking for. Thank you

    Hi,

As far as Windows Programs\processes goes, there are very few that can be disabled safely...

The Apps are a different story... If you click on Start, and then right click on the Apps you see, a menu will pop up.. If you click on "MORE" you will see "Turn Off Live Tile"... Some will have a Uninstall option if you wish to do that...

If you click on the Icon on the lower right of your Desktop screen you will see All Settings... Select this, the "PRIVACY"...

Way down new the bottom of the menu on the left you will see "Background Apps"... Here you can turn off the ones you don't want running...

You might find some other interesting settings in "Privacy" while you are there.

    Hi Lisa,

There is no list that are unnecessary programs running process in the background that came from the Windows operating system. If you have too many third-party programs that you don't often use, your computer usually will requires your operating system to be restored to a basic state by performing a Clean Boot. You can visit this link: How to perform a clean boot in Windows for instructions. Doing this operation minimizes the unnecessary startup programs that cause incompatibility with your computer to operate normally.

You can watch this video to know how to perform a Clean Boot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RYJfK4hpQM
