Nokia Lumia 520, windows 8.1 update

Hi,

I'm a little late to the game, but my nokia lumia 520 is currently on the windows 8.0 operating system. I don't remember if I was asked to update to 8.1 (it will have been over a year ago), but I want the update now. Is there any way to get it? I have tried checking for updates in the usual way (settings etc), but none are found. Does this mean I can't get the update? If so, why not? Surely I should be able to

    No, you cannot. It is not supported for Windows 10 Mobile and the Insider program ended in January 2018. You should not trust information from 3 years ago.

    hi, Matteo.

    ive tried updating my ph from my device but it remains in airplane mode, just want to know if there is any way I could do it from my LT.

    Matteo's advice is no longer valid, so please ignore.

    Try reinstalling the firmware using the Windows Device Recovery Tool as described in detail here:

    Hopefully this should resolve your Airplane mode issue and then you can try updating the phone is you are still on WP8.0. Bear in mind this procedure will wipe your phone clean.
