I have Windows 7 Home Premium running on my computer. I attempted to upgrade to Windows 10 and it got to the finish and said it was going to restart and load Windows 10. A box then came on the screen stating that Windows 10 did not download. I have decided to keep Windows 7 and am running it. I have noticed a file called ESD  3.95GB is no my C drive, Is it safe to remove this as I now do not intend to upgrade this computer.

Hi, The ESD file ( Windows Electronic Software Download file ) is a complete windows 10 image. You can convert it to an ISO image and burn it to DVD or USB then install it.

If you would rather keep Windows 7, it would be safe to delete the file - but would you?

I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I attempted to update to Windows 10 and it was successful up until I got to the last item stating it was going to restart and then a box came up and said Windows 10 was unable to be put on my computer. I am now remaining with Windows 7. The download for windows 10 is in ESD file on my C Drive. Is it safe to remove ESD as I am not using Windows 10 or will effect Windows 7. Please let me know if I can remove the ESD file from my C Drive.
