I am running Windows 10 on an HP laptop. The last couple of days OneDrive continually says "Signing In" but never gets signed in. It has been fine prior to this. What do I do to correct the problem?

    Hi,

I'm Diego Rios, an Independent Advisor willing to help other Microsoft customers.

Please, clear your browsers from cache, temporary files, cookies, etc, Then verified that you place the right credentials and log in to your account. Then follow the procedures in the link below:

    1. Exit OneDrive (right click in the system tray)
    2. Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager
    3. Click on "Windows Credentials" (on the right)
    4. Choose the down arrow to the right of "OneDrive Cached Credential"
    5. Choose Edit, and enter your OneDrive (Microsoft Account) Username/Password.
    6. Go to the start menu, and launch "OneDrive" again

This may restore your OneDrive without resetting your local copy.

Alternatively, simply remove the "OneDrive Cached Credential" (there is an option to do so) and let OneDrive start over. The positive side is IF you wanted to move your OneDrive to another location, you'll have the opportunity to do so during the reset. Either way, you will NOT lose your online data.

Please let me know if this helped and works.

    Best Regards,

    Diego R.

Same problem here too... driving me nuts!  Think I'll move back to dropbox, so much easier and more reactive!

I do not have "OneDrive Cached Credential" listed, either!

I've got the "same" problem this morning (Thursday 29th November 2018) - on one phone that says it is signed in but won't upload, one PC that won't sign in (has been saying 'signing in' since 09.00am this morning whatever I do with my credentials) and one PC that says it is signed in but wont actually sync anything (its been 'processing changes' for the past few hours).

As its across more than one device, I suspect that Onedrive is down (or there is a network problem), or something else who knows.

When there is a problem locally (my NAS has not failed other than due to power outages however....), I have lots of tools to work out what the issue is.  In this case I can't find any online 'Ondrive status' page, nor a 'Onedrive service tester' that checks for network connectivity between me and the Onedrive cloud.

I tried 'contact Microsoft' button but it gave me a load of answers to other questions, in good old 'AI from the 1980s' fashion.

If ever there was a good reason not to use cloud services and rely on my own infrastructure this seems to be it.  Even if Onedrive is working fine and its an error my end, I can't work out what the issue is.   The fact that there are no online testing tools means that for me the OneDrive service is essentially useless for anything other than my cat videos.

Hi, I also uses Windows 10, but when I go to credential, it doesn't even display Onedrive. I had to download the application to access my account and it doesn't syncronise with my computer, it keeps lagging if I want to download anything, it's a real pain. How can I log in and syncronise my Onedrive?
