Hi,
Please try opening the Paint 3D settings and making sure Compact View has not been enabled. As that will collapse the sidebar.
If that's not the case can you attach a screenshot so I can get a better idea of the issue? Thanks, I hope that helps.

In 3D Paint, I have some how made the side tool bar disappear. How do I bring it back?It currently looks like this:

You can Reset Paint 3D in Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Paint 3D > Advanced Options.
