Hi, Peace Be Upon You!

I bought Windows 7 Home Premium OEM key from Kinguin at low price. I installed windows and also activated the Windows with that key without any problem. Its running fine and working 100% with no issue. I just read today that OEM keys are only for computer manufacturer companies or system builders and we cannot use it for our own personal computer. Like I am not a manufacturer or system builder I just bought it and installed clean Windows and activated it with that key for my own personal computer. So is it allowed to use OEM key if I bought it and install it myself for my own personal computer that I am not going to sell its for my own use? What are the License terms for OEM keys as I read on internet that its for system builders not for end user. I don't want to break any MS EULA.

 Thanks for reading my Question.

 Regards,

 Muhammad Osman

If your only concern is about violating the EULA, what prevents you from reading the EULA?

This is what ZdNet - OEM Windows I am concerning about.

I purchased and install it myself on my personal computer and using it. While ZDnet saying in their article that you cannot do this. Its illegal because OEM License is only for System Builders not for end users.

This is also in that article:

"According to Microsoft, they are violating the terms of the OEM System Builder license agreement, which says, in convoluted language, that you must install the software using the OEM Preinstallation Kit and then resell the PC to a third party. If you install that software on your own PC, you don't have a "genuine" copy of Windows. "

    I am worried about this.

Then you should use a retail version of Windows, or resign yourself to remaining worried.

There are probably millions of OEM installs where the OEM version has been purchased from a third-party source.  MS has never seemed to care much about it, regardless of the licensing terms.

Yes I am talking to the regard of terms of the OEM License. Can I use it without breaking any MS Terms and Conditions. As I am end user not the Company that build systems.

    I answered the question already.

I've done this myself. It's totally fine as long as you use an OEM .iso to install it. This is usually only used for recovery, but it works fine for me.
