How to modify the default font used by application in Windows 10?

My computer was bought in China. I have succesfully modified its language to english, and changed most of the system's font to Segoe UI, because the chinese font is simply too ugly when displaying english text. I'm having trouble to modify one font that is used by applications.

I've been searching online for a while and tried many solutions, including the software "Winaero Tweaker" and the procedure described in this question: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_10-other\_settings-winpc/windows-10-default-font-how-do-you-change-this/082f707a-7ed4-40d1-b8e6-3b2f06d522ce

Nothing seems to work. Below is an image showing the ugly font usage in Winaero Tweaker.

Any help on how to modify that font to Segoe UI?

Hi Paolo, yes that looks like Courier New . . .

    Create a new Text file

Paste the text below into that file

Choose Save as and change the 'Type of File' on the Save as dialog to all files *.*

Save that file as Reset Fonts.reg (manually enter the reg file extension rather than .txt

    Then close that file

Right click that file and choose Merge, then confirm the merge

    Restart your PC . ..
