Windows 10, version 1803 is incompatible with my lifetime antivírus McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.8.0.1804. Can Microsoft solve it? I have I lifetime antivírus licence and with windows last update I can't use it. I already reverse the Windows update but I don't want to lose one of both.

It was updated yesterday. On the update says that it was incompatible with Mcafee and I uninstall Mcafee to get windows update. After windows update I tried to reinstall the antivírus but now windows says that is incompatible with windows version and block it. I reverse to previous windows version to reinstall the antivírus. Meanwhile I suspend windows update.

I should agree about your opinion concerning Microsoft is the best to protect her OS but I have infections with defender before have Mcafee.

Have you tried running Mcafee in Compatability Mode.

The screenshot shows Malwarebytes but you will see the same options for Mcafee Properties.

    Sometimes this helps.

    Sometimes not.

Malwarebytes Premium has Real Time Protection.

It will catch viruses & other bad things that Windows Defender will miss.

I do not rely on Windows Defender alone because it will not catch everything.

FYI: I am running WINDOWS 10 Pro x64 on an OLD HP Pavilion desktop purchased in 2005 with an AMD Athlon dual core 5600 (x64) with 4GB of PC4200 ram (DDR2-533MHz). I use Webroot SecureAnywhere antivirus. My printer is an old HP LaserJet 4000 purchased in 1998! It works just fine with Windows 10 Pro.  HP is a great company that writes the drivers for old printers. Canon DOES NOT.

MICROSOFT and HP are top tier blue chip companies that have been doing great things longer than most.

WINDOWS 10 is definitely the best OS to date. I am not an expert like these MVPs.  But, I have used almost every version of DOS and Windows.  Windows 10 is an amazing team achievement.

I could not upgrade/update from windows 10 pro version 1709 to windows 10 pro version 1803 without complete failure for at least 5 DOZEN times. Finally replaced the hard drive with a larger hard drive same manufacturer, crucial 250 SSD to crucial 500 SSD. After installing windows 10 version 1803, finally, I reinstalled and activated all other licensed software and here comes my disappointment slash anger issue, My Canon LBP 6200 laser printer says no driver is needed but no driver is installed and I cannot longer use this printer. It worked just fine with windows 10 version 1709 and should do the same with the new version. Also I am using

soda PDF as my HTML web site printer and it was no longer allowed to be installed as a PDF printer but I will see what the manufacturer has to say about it. However I expected to use my hardware and software the same way I used it with the previous version of windows 10. It is obvious to me that Microsoft is forcing people to purchase new hardware and I find this highly unethical furthermore I will notify Canon if my printer is unusable and they cannot provide a driver for this printer for window 10 I will no longer purchase Canon products and Canon Products will be added to my list of internet trash companies and will keep company with HP that is on this list  of internet trash companies for over 8 years now. I stopped purchasing any HP products over 8 years ago due to the lack of diversity and integrity HP has practiced for a long time. So my plan of purchasing a new Canon  printer in December this year and give my son my older printer is put on hold. In any case I should have zero problems in using my software and hard ware as I have used it in the previous configuration in windows 10 version 1709.  hope I can resolve these problems to my expected satisfaction and if not I have no choice but to clone my windows 10 version 1709 hard drive to my new hard drive, disable updates, disable Microsoft security and replace it with another anti virus software and also disable other windows 10 functions I do not use on my desk top. Does anybody have any idea why I suddenly have these problems?
