    Hi Keith,

Adding an accent to vowels in your Greek keyboard is simple. To resolve your concern, follow these steps:

    Step 1: Set the Language.

    1. Click the Start button, then type “Region and Language,” and press Enter.
    2. Under Languages, click Add a language, then type Greek in the search box.
    3. Select Greek.
    4. After that, select Greek under Languages and click Set as default.

    Step 2: Add keyboard.

    1. Under Languages, choose Greek and click Option
    2. Under Keyboards, click Add a keyboard.
    3. Then, choose Greek Polytonic.

After you change the language and add the keyboard, you need to Press Windows key + Spacebar (without releasing the Window key, press the spacebar) to switch between installed keyboards (choose Greek Polytonic).

    Update us with the outcome.

It would be helpful to provide a link to a document that says what key combinations to use for the various accents ... This is the one I have been using:

    https://apps.carleton.edu/its/flt/assets/The\_Greek\_Polytonic\_System.doc

But it's pretty old, and, in my experience of university resource websites, could disappear at any moment.  It also doesn't include the plain diaresis, which is sometimes needed in MG (R-SHIFT+;).  Perhaps it's time for Microsoft to produce or provide a link to a document of its own.

I suggest you try this webpage:

    <Removed Spam Link>

I have had one of their mats for a few years, and have found it saves time.

Not much use for Greek, though, as you need the whole keyboard, and there seems to be only one type of accent commonly used.  I have found that how to get an accent depends on the app, and the device:  Duo-lingo have 2 methods, one for the laptop (tapping ; before the vowel) the other holding down the vowel key briefly on the android phone.  I think the laptop method derives from MS, but I am not sure.

    Hope that helps

    Keith
