My new HP Pavilion with Windows 10 will not upload from my disk.  HP support suggested that I need a patch from Microsoft.

QuickBooks 2006 is more than 10 years old and not even QuickBooks 2015 is certified compatible with Windows 10.

If you need to run it, you will need to do so within a compatible version of Windows such as Windows XP in a virtual machine.

Hi Jackie. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

What is the exact error you're getting?

Run the Quickbooks install troubleshooting tool from here: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1501884-f...

Type Check for Updates in Start Search and expedite install of all available updates, including restarts, until none are available when you go back to check.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
