    Hi Alan,

Had exactly the same issue, it is a Microsoft issue, an option was disabled in the Fall Creators update.

Guest Logons in your Lanman Workstation Settings was disabled, this should help.

    Here is the work around:

    Hello,

Please feel free to reach out Western Digitals technical team. The issue is completely not supported in this Microsoft forum. Just as BulldogXX said above, they might have to release a compatible program version for your current Windows build.

Should there be more, keep us posted.

Thanks - tried the WD website with no help.  My network does not list the MY CLOUD device so that I can map it.  However, I can access the MY CLOUD through its app.  File transfer and management is complicated as a result.

    Hi Rey,

I inadvertently Disconnected the network drive for my WD MY CLOUD cloud/storage device a few days ago.  I attempted to Map The Network Drive back, but could no longer see the WD MY CLOUD in the Network using Files Explorer.

"I am unable to map my WDMyCloud as a network drive"

I have used every troubleshooting step I could locate, with no luck.

I could map my WDMyCloud drive last week and then Windows decided to force install their latest updates.  Now I can't access the files on my WDMyCloud device in the File Explorer.  I also can't uninstall the update.

It would be helpful if Windows didn't force  updates on people.  And, yes, I know that I can disable the updates in Services but the horse is already out of the barn.
