How can I get rid of Web Companion?

I presume you previously used Adaware?  Did you uninstall Adaware and Web Companion was still there?

Did you check the startup menu to see if it was still listed?  If so you need to disable (or remove) the entry.

Did you try uninstalling the program in Safe Mode?

Have you contacted Lavasoft for advice/assistance?

If you are sure you removed Ad-Aware and Web Companion and you’re seeing a “leftover” remnant did you try using https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns

Did you see the following “old” threads in the Lavasoft Forum?

Have you tried running full scan with Anti-Malware or scanner?

    What was the result?

Is there any issue, if you want to uninstall it?
