The disc is write protected but is my own material. I want to copy a track from the CD to a Micro SD Card

to play on my Samsung Tablet but a message comes up for me to "First remove write protection" How do I go about this action.

Many thanks for your reply. Pieter.

Hello pieterbeukes,

To better manage this thread related to your query, I'd like to verify if its already been answered. If not, I'd like to inform you that you'll be needing to rip the music from the CD-R. Here's how:

  1. Make sure your PC is connected to the Internet if you want Windows Media Player to automatically get info about the songs, such as the name of the CD, the artist, and titles for the tracks being ripped.
  2. Open Windows Media Player.
  3. Insert an audio CD into the PC's CD drive.
  4. Select the Rip CD button.
  5. Select a different format or bit rate, select the Rip settings menu, and then choose Format or Audio Quality in the Player Library.
  6. If you don't want to rip every song, clear the check boxes next to the songs you don't want.

If you have additional questions, or if the issue persists after the troubleshooting steps above, please let me know by replying to this thread. This way, I'll get notified and respond back to you as soon as I can.
