Amd Overdrive Crashing Windows 10 on FX processor

I recently had to fresh install Windows 10 because I had a virus corrupt the OS too much to salvage. Upon reinstalling Windows 10 and all my software, any attempt to change the base core clock(CPU Core Multiplier), even a decrease in clock with voltage staying the same, via software(Overdrive or Easytune{Gigabyte Motherboard}) destabilizes Windows. I can change both the Turbo states freely with no problem. Roughly 3/4 of the time I get an error that my graphics driver failed to start, and has been replaced by a generic one. I can not find any solution to my issue. Anyone familiar with this issue or something similar?

I am having the same problem with AMD Overdrive. I can't change any clock speeds or my monitors starts flickering, and windows crashes. It worked absolutely fine 2 days ago before I let Windows Update do it's thing.....now its screwed up. Something in the update screwed things up and your answer to go check with the manufacturer? Something in the recent update is broken, I would like to know what Microsoft is doing about it?

I personally changed no hardware or drivers. I let Windows Update run on Saturday night and I now can't overclock my CPU because Windows instantly destabilizes.

Microsoft (its representatives) always claim to be a problem in our hardware, some time ago my PC was "bluescreen" error after a heavy windows update, I looked for support on this site and the answer was always this: "this bleuscreen problem is hardware problem on your machine, do a selective startup until you figure out which item is causing this problem. "

well, after several months with my PC occurring bluecreen, comes the last heavy update of windows 10 and, to my surprise, the problem has disappeared. No use, Microsoft will never publicly admit any such failure, we have only to wait to detect the defect to correct. Stick to your friends!

    Hello Luke,

The issue you're experiencing with your display adapter driver whenever you overclock your system might be due to a misconfiguration of a device driver. Overclocking puts your Windows 10 PC at risk of instability. That being said, we advise getting in touch with the device manufacturer for better assistance regarding your concern.

Feel free to post back if you have concerns about other Microsoft services.
