Everything on my Windows 10 computer is blurry

All of the text, images, etc. have become blurry for some reason. This is especially noticeable when zoomed in with the Magnifier tool. I just updated (I believe to version 1803), and this wasn't happening until after the update.

To specify, when looking at the text and images anywhere on my computer, whether it be on the internet or in my files saved to my computer, they appear "vectorized." There is no "stair stepping" pixelization on the edges, but rather a strange, smooth edge that looks very unappealing, and makes text difficult to read.

I included an image of what the text looks like on my screen, hopefully you can see it on your screens.

Can someone please tell me how to fix this? I've been searching for hours, and nothing I can find on the internet (ClearType, Advanced Scaling, etc.) has helped. Thank you very much to anyone who can offer me any assistance!

    Hi Lizzie,

Have you made any recent changes to your device? Display and scaling issues are most of the time attributed to the graphics/display hardware of your computer. In the meantime, try to download and install the latest graphics/display driver from your device manufacturer website. In addition, I would suggest the scaling and layout settings by going to Settings > System > Display. Make sure that the scaling and layout and resolution is set to the recommended value.

We're looking forward to your response.

Thanks for getting back to us.

Try changing the custom scaling value to 125%. Go to Settings > System > Display, then set the custom scaling to 125%

Let us know how it goes.

The only recent change made was the update to the latest version of Windows 10, as I mentioned. All of my drivers are up to date. And all of the values in the Display menu are on their recommended settings. None of these things have made any difference, unfortunately. Isn't there anything else that I can try?

Also, are you able to see the problem that I'm describing in the image that I included?
