Teams Linux desktop app won't launch when joining a meeting as a guest with Firefox

Hello, good people. I currently have Teams for Linux 1.3.00.16851 installed on my Ubuntu 20.04 machine. My problem is getting the Teams app to launch from Firefox 78.0. I click the link in the invitation, click the link in the browser to open the app, then nothing happens. I can start the app from the command line, but I can't join as a guest.

Everything was working great two weeks ago.

Thanks for your help.

Bill

The problem has been fixed. Before I removed and re-installed Teams again, I performed a system update. One of the items updated was Firefox, which is now up to v78.0.2. Lo and behold, I can join meetings again.

I did a little digging and discovered that there is now an entry for Teams in the app preferences menu. 78.0.1 didn't have one.

    So the fix? Upgrade Firefox.

Thank you all for your help.

    Bill

    Hi Bill!

Do you have any operations before this issue occurred?

Have you tried to change another browser (such as Chrome) to join the meeting as a guest?

Can you join the internal meeting with no issue by clicking the inviting link?

In this case, we recommend you try to run the following command to remove cache folder, then test to see if it can be fixed.
    rm -r ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft\ Teams\ -\ Insiders

It looks like this answer just came in this morning. Unfortunately I didn't see it until after my interview... Fortunately I was able to use Teams on my phone but with this fix I'll be back to using it on my desktop next time. Thanks @Khizer Naeem and @Marcus
