To better assist you, can you tell us if you are using Windows 10 version 1709? If so, I suggest that you first run the Windows Updates through this link. If the issue persists, I suggest that you boot your computer in safe mode and then try reinstalling DirectPlay by following these steps:
- To enable DirectPlay, press the Win key + R keyboard shortcut to open Run.
- Enter ‘Control Panel’ in Run, and click the OK button.
- Click Programs and Features to open the uninstaller utility.
- Click Turn Windows features on or off to open the window.
- Double-click Legacy Components to expand it.
- Select theDirectPlay checkbox.
- Reboot your computer after installing DirectPlay.
