New Folder being auto-created

Hi,

Two days ago I created a New Folder by accident and deleted it. I then moved the Recycle Bin from the default spot (top left corner) to the bottom right corner, as I was cleaning up my desktop. Ever since then, every time I turn on my computer a New Folder is auto-created in the default spot of the Recycle Bin (top left corner). Nothing is in this folder and I constantly have to delete it. I have cleaned out the Recycle Bin many times, in thinking that it was a glitch. Any suggestions?

    Hi Julz

Are you using OneDrive to sync your files?

If so, go to OneDrive online and delete that new folder, that should stop it reappearing on your Desktop

If you are not using OneDrive, are you using any other cloud service or application to sync your files?

After a couple of days, I realized that the folder has started appearing again, yet my one drive online and folder is completely empty. I also checked my ICloud, but there are no options to sync my computer so I do not think it is that. I then searched my settings and found that I can un-sync the file explorer, so I am trying that. If you have any other suggestions I will gladly take them.

No, I have not input my password to sync One Drive in over a year, even when it asks. When I go into the One Drive online and sign in, it does not show any folders but the default ones (documents, pictures, etc.) as I have not used my One Drive in a long time. I then saw a One Drive folder in my File Explorer. When clicking on it, it showed that Document Folder in my one drive was last modified when I restarted my computer, but nothing was inside that folder. I then decided to log into one drive online and delete all the default folders to hopefully reset it and the New Folder stopped appearing on my desktop. Somehow, One Drive must have glitched, for all the other folders that I have modified or deleted in the past days have acted normal. Thank you for this quick solution.
