Hi,
I believe you want to use your monitor's native resolution. The thing is that not every laptop is with the same screen resolution. If your laptop's max resolution is 1366x768 and you select 'Duplicate' as a projection setting, that's the max you're going to get on both screens. Although you should be able to choose 'Extend' instead, that way you can use both of your screens, have more screen real estate and your monitor will use it's native resolution (1920x1080 for example). Or if you want to use the external display solo, you may select **'Second screen only'**option.
To quickly select projection modes, press Win+P on your keyboard and select your preferred setting. To fine tune, right click on your desktop and select Screen resolution or Display settings.
Hope it does the trick. In case of any issues, I'm happy to help you more, when needed. If it worked, please mark the answer as helpful.
