The Logitech manual does not indicate how to do that
Mouse stuttering Windows 10
Hello everyone
I'm having an issue with my mouse that started about over a month ago, my cursor is stuttering and freezing almost all the time. It was lighter before, almost unoticeable, but now it's happening almost all the time, specially when i'm watching a video and doing something in the background, or playing
sometimes when i'm playing it freezes for some seconds and then comes back and so on, it's really annoying, i've tried everything i found so far but still nothing is working.
Specs:
Processor: Intel Core I5-7400 @3GHz (4 CPus)
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Direct X 12
As of right now i only have Opera with 3 tabs open (This one, Facebook and Google), Task manager, BitTorrent and Settings open and the mouse is stuttering every once in a while
My mouse is Logitech M170

2018-07-30T05:33:15+00:00 Thank you for getting back to us. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the driver. Open Device Manager, right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the device, and select Uninstall. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
Moreover, I've got a few handy solutions that you can try:
- Change your mouse frequency
Mouse lag problems can be related to its frequency. This issue usually affects wireless mice, and if your mouse is lagging, you might be able to solve the problem by adjusting its frequency. To do that, open your mouse configuration software and change its frequency from 500 to 250Hz. After doing that, your mouse will start working normally.
- Disable Fast Startup
Go to Control Panel> Hardware and Sound> Power Options> Choose what the power button does> Change settings that are currently unavailable. Uncheck Turn on fast startup (recommended) and click on Save changes.
- Roll back your drivers
- Press Windows Key + X, now select Device Manager from the list.
- When Device Manager opens, locate your mouse or Realtek audio driver and double click it.
- Go to Driver tab and click on Roll Back Driver button if available. If Roll Back Driver button is grayed out, this solution doesn’t apply to you. After rolling back the problematic drivers check if the issue still appears.
