I know that this has probably been asked.

I reset my system, and lost the sound schemes that I had when I upgraded from Windows 7.  Is there a way to recover, or install these.  I specificaly got used to the Sonata sound pack and would like to have it back.

Thank You.

    UglyToona,

Just an update, if you were to select a program event in Sounds, you can see what name goes with what. Like "Device Disconnect" lines up with Windows Hardware Remove in the default sound scheme.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you for the reply.

This I think is what I already found.  If so, the next question I have is.

Is there a guide/chart available that tells me what sound was what.  I have searched every keyword combination or question I can think of.

    Thank You.

    Hey UglyToona,

You can redownload the sounds here: https://winsounds.com/sonata-sound-scheme-for-w...

Please note that Windows 10 no longer uses the startup sound in a sound scheme, everything else should work just fine. The only pain in this method is to make a new sound scheme and line everything up again.

    Hope this helps.

    UglyToona,

Unfortunately not, but should it provide any solace, the naming scheme of each audio file should match up. What shows up under Program Events should have the same name in the audio file.

Let me know if you need any more assistance.
