Screenshare / Miracast from Windows 10 to LG Smart TV

Hi,

I'm experiencing issues connecting my Windows 10 desktop for Screenshare/Miracast with an LG 49UK6400PLF and was hoping to get some solutions here.

It works when connecting an Android device but not Windows for some reason?

I'm using a Ralink 802.11n USB Wireless LAN card, according to my network adapters, on the latest version of Windows 10. Everything is up to date and I have confirmed that the card supports this and followed every help guide on Microsoft Community, LG Support, and the wider net but no joy. I find the TV popping up when searching for a device or looking under the projection menu and when connecting - the TV shows that my PC is trying to connect, but the connection ALWAYS drops before the PC mirrors to the TV.

I don't have any other issues with the TV and I don't have any issues with my PC.

Anyone with any help or advice - greatly appreciated.

    Try settings>>update & security>>Troubleshoot>>Bluetooth

    try settings>>Privacy>>other devices

see if it is on or showing

    try settings>>system

shared experiences and project to this PC

make sure tablet mode or touch screen mode is OFF

Make sure the TV is setup properly to pair with PC

    Hi certified_friend,

I'm assuming those were settings within the PC you were referring to?

Bluetooth is not used when screensharing.

The TV is discoverable and I can hit connect, when I do - the TV acknowledges the PC is trying to connect, but the PC screen never appears on the TV and it times out on the TV after several minutes.

Unfortunately none of these solved the issue.

well the one location I showed you is for Mircast and to connect. And i meant connect and not bluetooth.

    Regardless,

    Settings>>System>>Project to this PC

    is to setup Mircast

And you probably have some issue with the wireless connection. Maybe your router settings or incorrect wireless encryption key.

Did you connect it, power cycle your modem and router, restart PC's and power toggle the TV ?????

And if you have WPS turned ON in your Modem/Router, then this is the problem.

Have you also looked in your display settings while it is trying to connect and see if the display or TV shows here.

Also some interference will cause connection issues. Many things can cause interference.
