    Hi Manuel,

    I do appreciate your advice.

    After  last update of Windows 10 Pro, my Samsung Laptop’s Elan Keyboard is dead! In the Device Manager I see that the Elan Keyboard Filter Device is not started and l get the message : “Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19”.

    The Device Manager identifies my Elan Keyboard Filter Device, driver date= 9/18/2017, driver version 1.0.0.0, but with a ! mark.

     I have applied some of your solution many times, even before I received your reply, but sadly always fail!

    But I will try again strictly following your instructions.

    This message is composed using  MS’ On-Screen keyboard!!!

    The Same problem occurs also with my Synaptics touchpad

    Hi Manuel,

    unfortunate, The Device Manager does not provide the Roll Back Driver option, it is

    inactive.

    Any other ideas?
