New insallation of Win 10 1803. My corporate OneDrive account from Office365 is working perfectly, but my own OneDrive is not and hasn't done so for days.

I've being trying again in a few minutes for days and, having searched for solutions all I can find is a common theme - people have the problem, report it and it's always kicked into the long grass.

So - fresh Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. No third-party AV. It's not just one PC I have that's having this issue, all recent builds are. Rock-steady 55Mb internet connection. What is going on?

I've tried posting this under the OneDrive category but - surprise! It's locked and isn't taking new posts. I wonder why?

I have resolved the issue - and it was none of the suggestions above.

Both my main PC and my laptop have personal and corporate OneDrive accounts on them. The corporate OneDrive worked at home for both, but the main PC never worked with my own account at home... but the laptop did work perfectly with my personal account - but only at work. At soon as it came home the server became "unavailable". It must be my ISP, in this case BT.

I've just been looking at my BT account settings and I have customised Parental Controls running, one of which was File Sharing. I've turned that off and added www.onedrive.live.com to the white list. Bingo! OneDrive is now working for both accounts at home.

Credit where credit is due - this was not a Microsoft error, but one caused by BT's (optional) content filters. To BT's credit, the changes took effect within seconds.

    Andre,

Thank you for the suggestion... but no.

I uninstalled the existing version, then followed your suggestion, but...

    This takes a long time...

... then exactly the same error.

So the solution is still up for grabs.

    Hi

Did you manage to solve the problem ?

I have the same error. I'm on my company network behind firewall among other things and I suspect something is interfering with the communication to the oneDrive server because it used to work fine.

I had the same problem in a hotel.

I used the hotel Wifi.  By disconnecting and using my mobile as modem things went back to normal.

Strange that Onedrive Business worked OK on the hotel wifi...but not Onedrive Personal.
