Hello,

I am facing an issue with Microsoft Windows 10 MTP feature, when connecting my android devices to my laptop and selecting the MTP (media transfer in device). I have a OnePlus3 device and regardless of what options I have tried this isnt working for me (atleast that is what I have seen). Can you please help me sort out this issue and get my files seen on Windows 10.

Appreciate your precious help here!

    So to include more details, these are the exact steps I have been trying.

    Step 1-Connect my OnePlus3 mobile device using original cable to THIS PC, this shows me the below;

    As you can see, there are no media devices listed here.

    Step2-Have tried to open the "CD Drive (E:) OnePlus Drivers and run the USB driver file", which gets installed successfully (assumed, since there were no errors).

    Step3- After installing the drivers, the Device Manager still shows below;

    Step4- Have tried online solutions, as below

        a. Reboot & choose the advanced menu in windows 10 to disable diver signature verification etc. and try again.

        b. Try and install manually by referencing the wpdmtp.inf file etc.

    But still no success, none of these methods actually lets me see my device in My Computer/THIS PC.

    You might have to open defender>>app & browser control and turn off the 3 settings (SSF) until you download and move the downloaded file

    Then right click on the downloaded file>>Properties

    and select UNBLOCK and APPLY

    then turn settings back to warn in defender.

    I did find a link with a driver for it. People said thank you as it must have been good. But no comments if it was for 10 or earlier version.

    How old is this phone ?????????

    I get this info

    Released 2016, June

    And also, you might be able to install the driver for the OS is was designed for using compatibility mode for that OS Version such as for Vista or 7 as an example.

    This shows you in detail how to do this.

    I am using a One Plus 3 Phone and there are no drivers specified on the OEM website. When I connect my phone to THIS PC, only a CD drive is shown which contains the one exe file for drivers, but even after installing those my Phone is not shown.

    After reading through a few links, it seems there is an issue with Windows 10 drivers - allowing only signed ones  and since One Plus drivers are not signed they are not installed or run.

    Appreciate your help :)

    You have go to phone OEM website to download the drivers/software first and install them.

    then go to THIS PC

    click on your phone

    go to the DCIM folder and copy your audio, video and photos files to PC from there.
