Hi Steve, glad to Help!
How to use Diskpart
I have a problem with my laptop. When I turn it on, it goes directly (after a while) to Windows RE. I can't do any of the easy recoveries off the menu - says it couldn't be fixed.
I don't see any error messages on the screen.
I booted from a Windows 10 ISO on a USB stick. I can get to command line. I've run chkdsk against the drive and it fixed some errors, but nothing that helped the boot.
I've found many suggestions on the internet but can't seem to find a one-stop place. Trying to use bootexe with the /fixboot option gave me access denied.
It seems I need to use diskpart and then reload windows, but I'm having problems understanding what diskpart options to use. This is a photo of the disk detail:
Would you have any guidance on how to proceed? I've seen some things that need to be done on the System partition vs the Windows partition but I'm not clear from the photo what the System partition is. Also saw that I had to have an Active partition but this doesn't display that information.
Any help would be appreciated.

2018-09-09T20:13:31+00:00 Thanks,
Yes, there is only one drive (disk 0) and I've copied the data off the computer
I think a clean install is about my only option.
> I don't have the Windows 10 license number - will it install OK and eventually check my Microsoft account for the license?
> The "clean" will replace all those volumes on disk 0 or do I need to do more once the installation completes?
Thanks again!

From your screenshot that is a 1TB drive which contains Windows and a few other small system partitions, but no separate data partition, is that correct?
Is it your intention to clean install Windows 10?
If so:
At the very start of the Installation Process, press Shift + F10, or Shift + Fn + F10 to open Command Prompt
Run this command and hit Enter:
diskpart
Run this command and hit Enter:
list disk
(Make note of the disk number you want to convert and enter it into the next command - replace disknumber)
Run this command and hit Enter:
select disk disknumber
Run this command and hit Enter:
clean
Then restart. boot from the Installation Media and install Windows onto that drive . . .

In your next Post, click the second last button on the toolbar above your post to select that image and upload it to your post . . ..
Are you at the point where you can see the partitions on your hard drive - that is the screenshot I need to see, if possible . . .
