I have been having issues with my cursor disappearing. If I re-boot ,I get it back then gone again. Also opening a page is slow and sometimes freezes. I found mouse settings, although I use a touch pad on my dell laptop. There are no places that shows update. this is frustrating. Trying to troubleshoot does not work. It cannot find the issue. Keeps finding Intel Virtual camera issues, which I do not use. This just started it seems after a windows update. I need to fix  it. I have windows 10

Thanks for any help

    Hello Kathleen,

    Try Re-enabling your mouse

Windows may have disabled your mouse during the upgrade This will make your mouse unusable and your mouse cursor disappear.

    1. You should try pressing the key combination on your laptop keyboard that can turn on/off your mouse. Usually, it is the Fn key plus F3, F5, F9 or F11 (it depends on the make of your laptop, and you may need to consult your laptop manual to find it out).
    2. You can also enable your mouse in the mouse settings.

Press the Win key on your keyboard, then type “mouse“. When you see “Mouse settings“ appear in the menu above, press the up or down arrow on your keyboard to highlight it, then press Enter.

In Mouse settings, press Tab on your keyboard until Additional mouse options (under Related Settings) is highlighted. Press Enter on your keyboard to select it.

In the Mouse Properties window, press Tab on your keyboard until the Buttons tab in the window is highlighted (with a dotted border.)

Press right arrow key on your keyboard until Device Settings in the window is opened. (The name of this tab could be different, depending on the mouse you use.)

If your device is disabled, press Tab on your keyboard until the Enable button is high lighted, and press Enter to enable the device.

If this method solves the problem, you will be able to see your mouse pointer again.

    Update your mouse driver:

Hope it helps, have a good day

i did get to  the mouse settings and used arrow keys and there are dots on each top selection, but no touch pad selection after hardware. Yes I have already accidentally downloaded 2 fixes that cost money and uninstalled them today. Pain. But no selection on Mouse settings for touch pad.

Can you get on my laptop?

    UNDER PROPERTIES IT SAYS C:\WINDOWS\systen32\DRIVERS\mouclass.sys

                                                   C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\mouhid.sys

    NO IDEA WHAT THAT MEANS
