... how can I make sure that all device drivers are 64 bit compatible ...

So simple - ask the device manufacturer! Couldn't be easier.

If you prefer, you can check on your own: Simply go to the device manufacturer's website and see if they offer a 64-bit driver for Windows 10 for your device. Just be sure that the driver is for your particular model.

Otherwise, simply contact the device manufacturer's technical support or post a question in the manufacturer's own community forum.

I did this before my clean install of Windows 10. It took a couple of hours of work, but after it was done I knew for sure that my devices had 64-bit drivers.

Hi there,

You can only upgrade to Windows 10 64-bit by performing a clean install.

As such, you won't have any drivers installed once it is complete. So all you need to do is check your manufacturers website to see if 64-bit drivers exist.

Drivers are not as big a deal as they used to be, most hardware will work perfectly fine without them, at least enough for you to download the correct ones from the internet.

To be safe, probably best to download them to a USB stick first in case you have network card issues!

Kind Regards,

Ryan
