Keyboard lost my pound sign ? its now #

Suddenly for no reason my key board symbols have changed . I suspected it had gone to USA English but I cant find a way to get back up English UK Help Please Im sure this should be simple but for the life of me I cants how to change it English USA is stuck in the language box and wont shift

help!

Hi Jacqueline, there is a known bug in the 1803 version of Windows 10. Microsoft are aware of this issue

Right click your Start Button, choose Powershell (admin)

Paste this command and hit Enter

$1 = New-WinUserLanguageList en-GB

Paste this command and hit Enter

Set-WinUserLanguageList $1

Close Powershell and restart your PC

    thankyou so much for the answer. it just seems so bad that it is a known issue (bug) yet microsoft have not actually sorted it with an update. its effectively their problem but the customers are left hanging. its like apple phones losing the ability to make calls and then apple saying " oh just wait for people to phone in for the solution"
