I had the same issue. I ran

    %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

    followed by

    %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe

It resynced my files and, eventually, all worked for me

    Hi,

    What worked for me was:

    1. Go to OneDrive icon on the tray.
    2. Pause syncing
    3. Tried to open my file (same error!)
    4. Again, enable syncing.
    5. Try to reopen my file and it works!

    Hope it helps!

    Hi AndrewLedesma,

Errors occurs usually on a computer if there is something that is failing such as a possible sync. In order for me to have a better idea on what you experience I would like to know the following to refer you to the right troubleshooting or channel:

    • When do you get the error code?
    • Are you getting the same error when using a different user profile?
    • Do you experience the error when using other apps on your Windows 10?
    • What is the current build and version of your Windows 10?
      • You'd be able to have this checked by pressing the Windows button + R on your keyboard to open the Run box and type winver and press Enter.

In the meantime, as an initial troubleshooting you can test if do you still get the error when pausing your OneDrive when syncing to isolate it further.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me for further assistance.

    1. This is your tray, on your task bar:

    1. This is your OneDrive icon, and right click on it:

    1. On the contextual menu, click on "PAUSE SYNCING", then click on "2 hours":

    1. Syncing will stop. Wait for 1 minute.
    2. After a minute, again right click on OneDrive icon and select "Resume syncing":

    1. OneDrive will sing in  again into your account, and will sync your files:

    7. Now, you can try open your file. It will works.

I have the same problem, only with OneDrive for business; whenever I double-click on a file to open it, I get the error message. If I go in the Cortana search box and type 'OneDrive', the OneDrive system icon appears, then goes away almost immediately. I have been having this issue since this morning.
