Hyper-v with Windows XP OS network adapter not showing in device management

Using Hyper-V I created a virtual machine using Windows XP as the OS. I created a virtual switch of the external type and associated it with my Host WiFi NIC. However, in my virtual machine when I attempted to creat a connection only broadband network option is available. And in the device manager my host NIC is not displayed under network adapters. Even after ensuring that the appropriate service features in MSC were started I still can not create a wifi connection. How can I fix this?

You'll need to manually install the integration tools via vmguest.iso You can get this file from a 2012 R2 Hyper-V host. You'll need to mount vmguest.iso image on guest, then logon and run D:\setup.exe from within the mounted image to install integration services. The file (vmguest.iso) is found in \Windows\System32 on 2012 R2 that has the hyper-v role installed. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1SZX0RY-h9AlBdhnYtTlHd0nedkHO0GY3?usp=sharing

    Hi,

As per below article, you can create an internal virtual switch and first connect it to the VM before you associating it with the WIFI NIC.

Please kindly read below article for detailed steps to enable Wireless Network for a Hyper-V Virtual Machine.
