Z:drive access

I work in an office with a shared drive, and also have access to a personal drive. Today a user who should have not have access to my personal drive was able to see the list of contents on my personal drive, but the drive was called z://

I don't understand how they could have accessed my personal folder through the one called Z:drive

Can you please explain how this could have happened??

Thank you

Does anyone or any group besides you and the computer administrator have access?

Click on your folder then go to Share menu > Advanced Security button to check your permissions. Is the user listed or a default option set to share?

Thank you for your reply Diane. I just checked and their account definitely didn't have access to my folder..

that means they mapped the drive - and they can only map the drive if they have your login information to sign into it or if you shared it with them or sharing is enable by default to everyone. You need to change the permissions on the personal drive or folder.
