Hi, i don't know what could have happened, but from yesterday (2018 9.4) my space bar started lowering the volume whenever i press space, and whenever i press shift it acts like backspace. I haven't got a new keyboard or anything. And it became quite annyoying. I may have pressed something that acts like a shortcut but i don't know. Thanks.

Thank you for getting back to us. Please try to turn on and off the Sticky Keys and see if there's any changes.

    1. Press Windows key + I key together to open Settings window.
    2. Then scroll down to find and click Ease of Access.
    3. Click Keyboard on the left pane.
    4. Then click the icon of Sticky Keys, and turn it on and off.

Aside from this, I would like to confirm if you only have an issue with the Space bar and NumLock key. Can you also tell me what is the build and version of your Windows 10? To find out which version of Windows your PC is running, press Windows logo key + R, type winver, then select OK.

Thanks for the quick answer, nothing has helped yet, but i noticed that Num Lock increases the volume.

I don't have an FN key on my keyboard, and i don't have my sticky keys on neither.

    Hi,

The time that I've had the same issue, another key was stuck on the keyboard. Try hitting other keys firmly a few times, particularly keys that are related to volume. In line with this, are you using a keyboard that happens to have a function, or Fn, key? If so, perhaps it's possible that the function key is enabled, causing secondary values to be entered when certain keys are pressed. However, if you're not using a keyboard that has this option, you may want to check your keyboard settings in Windows to see if some of the keys were re-routed or if other settings were changed that could be causing this.

Furthermore, this could also happen when Sticky Keys functionality is enabled. This feature enables users to use keyboard shortcuts like shift, etc. without having to press two keys at the same time, but rather pressing one and then the other in succession. You can enable or disable this feature by pressing the "Shift" key repeatedly, around 7-10 times.

Please respond to this thread to let me know how the issue progresses. Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform me by replying to this post.
