Good Afternoon

Since installing the latest windows update for windows 10 on my HP envy 14 beats edition laptop I have been getting the following error message after startup and I've also noticed I lose my files and images in my adobe premiere elements, not sure how this has happened but most importantly what is this error message and why is it being displayed now every time I start up windows and how can the issue be resolved?

Kind Regards

Bill

Hi Bill, thank you for that, I think that got me to the support page for your laptop, is that an older model?

If I have the correct support page, that model is only supported up to Windows 7?

    https://support.hp.com/ie-en/drivers/selfservic...

If that is the case, a new driver will not be available, so we need to see if we can get that tray item off your startup . . .

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager

    Click on the Startup Tab

See if IDT Audio or its tray item is listed there

If so, select and click 'Disable'

    Close Task Manager

Click your Start Button, type msconfig and hit Enter

When the System Configuration dialog opens, click on the Services Tab

Check the box marked 'Hide Microsoft Services'

In the remaining list, see if IDT Audio or its tray item is listed there, uncheck any you find

    Click Apply and OK

    Restart your PC

    Hi Bill

What is the exact Model No. of your HP envy 14 beats Edition - that will be printed on a sticker on the bottom casing . . .

Okay there is no white sticker as such but there is a paragraph about HP being a registered trademark all in red writing with logos such as windows 7, intel, etc. then there is this code underneath it all:

    HPK-HSTNN-180C(B)

    Is that the model number?

Okay great how do I go about doing that? Can you please send me to the right place

This may be because a while ago i had to return laptop to factory settings due to a blue death screen from updates and I almost lost everything... but since reinstalling everything I've lost beats audio on my laptop

    Kind Regards
