Having Trouble Using Canon Lide 60 with Windows 10 x64. Have installed, but not recognized by Scanning Software. Any help would be appreciated.

As mentioned, I am having trouble using my Canon Lide 60 with Windows 10 x64.  I have installed the drivers, but it is not recognized by Scanning Software.

Under Imaging Devices in Device Manager, I see CanoScan LiDE 60.  When I check the properties, I see Driver Version 11.1.1.1, and that it's connected Port_#0001.Hub_#0003.

When I go into any scanning software, and try to initiate a scan, I see my HP All In One, but not my Canon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I removed the device from the device manager, and allowed windows to auto detect and install the drivers.

The scanner seemed to be recognized, so I restarted the PC and tried to start software.  Although it appeared in the device list, the software could not detect it.  In the device properties, it appeared to be working, and did the diagnostic test which it passed.

I'm running Windows 10 64 bit.  When I download the Windows 7 x64 drivers, and try to install it extracts, then says, This program might not have installed correctly-> Install using compatibility settings, or This program installed correctly.

I show a folder which is the extract of the files downloaded [lide60vst6411111a_64en].  I opened it and ran SetupSG.exe.  Not sure what it did, but it ran and I'm still at the same screen.

The CanoScan LiDE 60 appears in Scanners and Cameras, but won't open in any software.

In Windows drop down, I now see an application Scan.  In the drop down I see the HP, and I do see the CanonScan.  I select it, and it says; Problem connecting to scanner.  We can't find a scanner.  Attach it to your PC or go to PC settings to add it.  Then once I close that dialog, it's no longer in drop down.

In device manager under imaging devices, its listed with no ? and I try to update driver, and it says it has the best drivers for this device already installed?

Not sure where to go from here.

I use the program that came with the scanner--Canoscan Toolbox 4.9. I use the same driver you do, the one provided by Canon, Version 11.1.1.1

I use a Canon LiDE 60 with Widows 10 with no problems. How are you trying to use it. Using what software?

I see the same things in Device Manager that you do, except for a different Port and Hub.

Yes, I have.  It shows on Canons site they don't support Windows 10, but on Microsoft's site they say they do.  I read where Windows 7 drivers worked, but doesn't seem to want to for me.

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers? Used updated drivers from Canon page?
