Lexar Professionall USB 3.0 Dual-Slot Card Reader operated normally, but recently is not recognized.

My Lexar Professionall USB 3.0 Dual-Slot Card Reader operated normally, but recently is not recognized.

I've been using this card reader with no issues for several years in Windows 8 and now Windows 10.  It no longer shows up in Computer or file explorer.

It does show up in disc management with or without a card inserted.

The card reader works fine in my wife's Win 10 laptop and on my Win 10 work computer.  All computers are 64 bit and  have USB 3 and well as 2, but it makes no difference which USB port is used.

Thanks

Ok, I have found the solution to this problem.

I opened Disc Managment and found the two drives for the Lexar Dual Card Slot reader (one for SD cards and one for CF cards) . I noted that there was no drive letter for either.  I right clicked on each and selected change drive letter and a drive letter was selected for both.  Now my card reader is showing up in file explorer and seems to be working fine.  No idea how this happened, but I assume it may have occur ed during an update of some kind.

    Thanks for your help Susan!

    Kind regards,

    Kelly

    Thank you. Susan,

None of these solutions have fixed my issue.  I can see the Lexar Dual Slot USB 3 Card reader in the Device manager under Disc Drives.  Update drivers automatically and manually with the driver from Lexar both tell me that the device has the latest driver, which is a Windows driver from 2006.  If I select uninstall and then reboot, no change.  Can't see the reader in Windows file explorer.  The USB trouble shooter asks me if I want to eject it, but comeback saying it can't eject it. Any further hints will be greatly appreciated.   Very strange issue.
