Trying to install Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) updates on Win 7 SP1 and receive - Operating System not activated - error.  Windows is activated and genuine and shows up on Computer Properties.  The error pops up when I attempt to run the IAVA update as an administrator.

Andrew E.,  Thanks for responding and attempting to help.  I know Win 7 is over but my client hasn't upgraded to Win 10 yet so I have to get the updates applied!

    Windows is activated and Genuine

When I attempt to run the update I get a "OS not activated" script and the steps to activate windows are listed.  Which is preventing the logon/password script for IAVA updates to open I'm guessing.  So why is windows not being recognized as activated when it clearly is?

Youre wasting youre time...Win 7 is just about thru with updates, its retired..True Win update has a few every month, but to run a 3rd party conflicting software isn't needed...To chk youre OS,R.click my computer/properties/locate Activation on  bottom of screen. It should say "Active"

Also,go to youre pc mfg web/downloads/select youre model/most if not all are 6-8 yrs old...
