    Hi there,

    Have you tried to download and install the latest drivers for your CDROM?

    If you don't know where to obtain them, please give me the make and model of your machine and I can help

    Okay, can you try the following;

    Launch device manager from the search bar

    You should see your CD ROM in the list

    Right click and select uninstall/remove

    Don't tick the box to delete the driver file

    Reboot your machine and try the cd drive
