Feature update to windows 10 , version 1809 is available in windows update ,but not installed

With these major upgrades, the most successful method is to upgrade from the Windows 10 ISO - you download the ISO and then perform an Offline Upgrade

to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can download the latest Windows 10 ISO (Select Create Installation Media for Another PC), then choose ISO

When the ISO file completes downloading

Then, double click it and then run Setup.exe to begin the upgrade . . .

In second attempt the update was successfully installed ,during second attempt >>>> i try also >>>>>

1- No other work done during downloading and installing

2- I change my internet connection to high speed connection

Now everything is fine for me

After re-release windows 10 1809 on November 13,2018 , now again I install this update via

And everything is okay now dated 17-11-2018

When is windows going to stop forcing the updates and WARN a customer before there is a version UPGRADE to their system?  Because of upgrade to vs 1809, my system may fail! because of it's glitches.  I would KINDLY ask if there is a WAY that MICROSOFT WARN ME of ANY updates!

You should upgrade to 1809 by manual method. Execute below steps -

1. Right click on Windows Start > Windows Powershell (Admin)

Type following (or copy and paste following) one by one and Enter

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

2. Type following in Windows Start Search box and hit Enter %systemroot%\Logs\CBS > Rename CBS.Log to something else.

If it doesn't allow you to rename - Type services in Windows Start Search box > Click Services > Scroll down to find the Windows Modules Installer service and double-click on it > Set its startup type to Manual > Reboot your computer

Go to C:\Windows\Logs\CBS > Rename CBS.Log > Reboot your computer > Then go back into the Services App and set Windows Modules Installer Service back to Automatic Startup (Note CBS log files contain information about windows update, SFC etc)

3. Uninstall any third party Antivirus (After update is successful, you can install it again)

You can download the latest Windows 10 package from this link (media creation tool) and follow the instructions there to upgrade. Use the very simple instructions given under Using this tool to upgrade this PC to Windows 10
