Don't get sucked in with Tech Utilities to download there error repair tool, once you pay for them to fix your errors ( I allowed them to fix the errors

by remote as I'm not tech savvy) they will not let you go , they try to up sell their repair service . When I said no thanks they would not hear of it.

I told them I'm a 74 year old pensioner and did not have the money they wanted , they just would not hear of it. It got that bad that I puled the

land line out of my modem because they where writing in my notepad on my computer by remote how much money it has cost so far and how

much I could save if I would let them continue .

So people be careful , don't get sucked in !!!

    Hi Guys,

I don't know if we will ever be able to contemplate full legal action to stop these people through a third party against people like T"C". Their actions are not illegal but they do sail very close to the wind. I have now been emailed that a full refund is pending and have received a kind of apology. We are just small bit players in a very large game and they can do just enough to legitimately say they have done what they can to remedy the problems with customers. The fact that they market crap falls back on that old saying :Let the buyer beware"

I'm not waiting with baited breath for any cash back!

    Tony

I fell into the same trap yesterday.  And, their software didn't even fix the issue.  My gut feeling told me not to buy their software, but I was in a hurry to fix something.  Dumb, dumb, dumb on my part.

Thank you, Bill! I genuinely appreciate the review that you posted. I am so sorry that such scum would prey on someone with a fixed income.

    Sincerely,

    Matt

    Greetings Antony Stevens,

Just updating you're response for: Tech Utilities,

I continued to hound the using my payment numbers they supplied.

Then going to my bank letting them know this was by fraud that the fees

    were taken out.

Tech Utilities refunded 2 payments of $64.31 but kept $350+

then closed the account using Clickbank as their go between.

It's a shame that Tech Utilities are still advertising themselves as

Antivirus option when it's quite obvious they are scamming folks like us.

Since I have signed up with AVG and everything seems to run a lot smoother

I guess it does pay to use a reputable company when dealing with your

personal details. I hope we have all learnt a lesson from this

    Regards, Chris 7777 T

    Hi Chris 7777 T

I checked all my directories and my complete hard drive and anything that was received

with that pacific date I deleted . I did get a lot of strange emails and pornagrafic emails,

over the next few weeks (which I never received before) I just deleted them and now I don't receive those emails any more.

I'm luckey that I have ZoneAlarm for an antivirus setup and that also includes a utility to

speedup my computer , so after I done all the deleletions I ran that utility and all is fine.

I give you a tip ! Never use your credit card over the internet !!!!  I use a debit card from

Australian Post Office , that's why they can not take more than what is in there. When I

want to pay for something over the internet I first deposit the amount in that card , it cost nothing to do so just go to the nearest P O .

That's why it only cost me $49 (au) because all I put on the card was $50 (au)

I think because they  could not get more money that's why I got bombarded with those

    strange emails .

    Any way : Good luck

    bill
