USING A LABTEC WEBCAM WITH WINDOWS 10

I have acquired a LABTEC WEBCAM DESKTOP/LAPTOP CAMERA V-UAM32 861162-0000, S/N LNA42212869 that I wish to use with my Windows 10 desktop computer.  At present, it is not being recognised

  • I assume that is due to the lack of a suitable driver?  How do I obtain (from a safe source!) and install a suitable software driver?

Many thanks for your help.

    Dear Raju.MSc.Mathmatics,

    Thank you for your input.

Unfortunately, this is a 'used' webcam, and it did not come with a CD!  Labtec (or Labtech depending where you look!) were taken over by Logitech apparently.  I can't find any reference to this model on the Logitech website so I've emailed them, but in the meantime, I'm trying to find an alternative solution.

Tried that - Device Manager doesn't recognise it as a webcam, only under "other devices" then "unknown device".

    It then states that:

"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)  There are no compatible drivers for this device.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver"

When I try "update driver" it reports that it can't find one - and to check with the manufacturer (I've emailed them as I said, but no answer yet).
