Changing the Port settings for Serial-USB.

Hello, I am working on windows 10 Pro (version 1703).

I've already installed the driver of a serial-usb multi-function cable, and it was successfully defined.

But when I tried to access its port setting, the corresponding tab didn't appear at all in the driver properties. And I really need it! anybody can help me to find out how can I change the driver setting in such case?

Thank you in advance

    Thank you for your reply...

But the issue is that when I open the properties of the corresponding port, the "port setting" tab doesn't appear at all as shown in the attached picture! this is why I am asking this question....

    Hi,

Thank you for writing back. I really appreciate your time and patience.

I apologies for the delayed response. Here few more things that you can try.

Method 1: Check if the port settings are available in control panel.

    1. Open Control panel and then click on Printers and devices.
    2. Then right click on the device connected via USB and then click on Properties.
    3. Then go to Ports tab and you should be able to change the port settings.

Method 2: Remove old associations to COM Ports. You can then plug your adapter in and then associate it with the COM Port you need.

    1. Open Command prompt and run it administrator (type cmd on start menu and right click to run it as admin).
    2. Then type: set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
    3. Now open Device manager and check if you are able to get port settings.

Let us know if that worked.
