Good Day,

My computer is rebooting randomly.  I have searched the web for solutions, but I have failed to fix the problem.  Please help.

I uploaded my system logs:

    Good day,

    I completed all three steps and I'm still suffering crashes.

    I am running a Toshiba Satellite P55W-C5316.

    I am out of ideas.  Please advise.

    Hello,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    To isolate the cause of this issue, please provide some additional information.

    1. Are you aware of any changes that happened on the computer?
    2. What is the make and model number of your computer?
    3. Is your computer is overheating frequently?

    Computer Restarts randomly due to hardware devices that are not installed properly in the computer and it can also cause random reboots.

    Follow the below mentioned methods and see if it helps.

    Method 1: Disable the automatic restart option.

    1. In the Search bar, type View advanced System Settings then press Enter.
    2. Under Startup and Recovery section, click Settings.
    3. Under System failure, uncheck the box beside automatically restart, then click OK.
    4. Restart your computer.

    Method 2: Reset and Restore default Power plan to default settings. Previously customized power plans would be removed.

    1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
    2. Copy and paste the following command line : powercfg –restoredefaultschemes
    3. Restart your device to apply changes.

    Note: Incase if you’re using HP computer, please refer the suggestions in the article.

    Thank you for the quick reply.  I completed both of the above methods and neither of them worked.  I also opened up the laptop case (Toshiba Satellite) and cleaned out the fans and verified they still worked.  My computer has restarted several times since my original post.  I have also used the "Windows 10 Update Assistant" to ensure windows is running the latest version. 

    Please advise.

    Greetings,

    I tried Method 1: 'clean boot'.  My computer was stable for about 36 hours, after which I experienced another reboot.  Today I tried method 2, reinstall the Graphic card drivers.  I followed the listed instructions exactly and now my computer is worse off!  I originally had Intel video drivers, but now the only thing I see is a basic Microsoft video adapter driver, dated 2006.  I have lost all of my display options! 

    Please help!  I followed you instructions and now I am a bad way.
