I cannot see png images in Windows10 Photo App because they turned black when the text is also black.

This issue occurs when I want to view transparency images such as png, gif. The same problem with the png file icon on file explorer and .eps files. In case I try to open this png file and double click on it, then select Open with photos, I can’t see anything. Everything is black.

Hello Heather, my name is Alexander. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'm happy to assist you!

Have you tried to open photos using the classic photo viewer app?

I recommend that you change the Appearance settings in the photos app:

Start the Photos app - click on the ellipses button - select Settings.

Under Appearance, change the Mode to Light.

You can also set it to ‘Use system settings’ in order to use the current Windows theme settings for your photos app.

You can also try to change the Windows theme and check the status of the issue.

    Best regards,

    Alexander B.
