I am using Windows 10 Home Edition.  I just purchase the Planar PCT2235 which is a Touch Screen Monitor.  Following the Directions in the user's guide windows only see's it as a monitor.  I get no signal from installing the USB cable, the Device Manager only shows it as a monitor with no USB input and  the PCT2235 is supposed to use a Windows Driver.

The Mfg. usb cable was the problem.  I installed a new cable and all is well.

    Hi Danilee,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

As per the device documentation, the touchscreen is supported only through USB interface and no drivers are required for basic touchscreen operation. For video input/output, the device uses the VGA and HDMI ports. The monitor will appear only as a monitor, however you should be able to input using the touchscreen and get the output on screen as expected.

The USB ports on monitors mostly do not work unless you connect your monitor to your computer using a Type-A male to Type-B male USB upstream cable.

Turn off your computer, locate the square shaped Type-B USB port on your monitor.

Connect the Type-B end of the USB cable into the Type-B USB port on your monitor.

Connect the other rectangle shaped Type-A end of the cable into a USB port of the computer.

Turn on the computer and connect any USB device to your monitor. If the computer doesn't detect the USB device, get in touch with the Device manufacturer

    Hope it helps.
