'Intel Technology Access - Service' suddenly using massive amounts of RAM - what's going on?

I had this happen to me twice not in the past 30 days.

Out of nowhere Intel Technology Access - Service or more specific the Intel Online Connect Access starts using massive amounts of RAM making everything crash with an "out of memory" error.

I was just watching a YouTube video today, suddenly - Chrome crashed and kept doing so after trying to start it again with an "out of memory" error.

The first time a while ago the same happend while playing WoW and i think watching either Twitch or YouTube aswell.

No idea whats going on. I just End the Task, restart the PC and everything is back to normal.

Screenshot is in german i'm afraid.

    Hi Aiko

Click your Start Button, then just type msconfig and hit Enter

On the Services Tab of the resulting dialog, you will find that, uncheck that option and save that and then restart your PC . . .

    Hi AikoTM

Do you have a 2-in-1 capable of tablet mode or clamshell mode?

If not, then you do not need Intel Technology Access, the best thing do do is either uninstall Intel Technology Access or just disable that service

    Hi Aiko

On that list, tick the box to hide all Microsoft Services, that will give you a better idea of what is left and if you need the remaining services.

If you are unsure of any remaining items, please post those here an I can advise you if you actually need them . . .

    Thank you.

I did that - hope it helps.

Going through that list i asked myself how much of that stuff i truly need.

Any way to find that out?

I already tried uninstalling it but i can't find anything to do so.

No uninstall.exe and nothing in Apps & features.

    How do i disable it?
