Hi

I know that I am not the first or the last to ask about this issue however I cannot stress enough the amplitude on this matter.

I own the same phone (iphone se) and the same pc (laptop gateway with windows 10) for over 18 months.

whit that being said: no more than 6 months ago ,

I was able to play music from my iphone and with bluetooth to my pc not only hear it on my pc but also skip songs and have some controls on my iphone from my pc...

Now my Question: why, WHY, 😔why now there is no way to just get my phone and my pc to have some sort of bluetooth connection, really?

what happenned ?

I mean , when I see some one I use to work with, I dont pretend I have never saw him before.

I know this is a stretch but I think you see my point, no?

Please forgive the tone of it and help me fix that out.

Diane

I have the same issue.  I am running a Windows 10 pc, version 1809 64-bit Enterprise.  The pc is dell Latitude 7370.   The iPhone is a iPhone 8 with IOS 12.1 installed.  I have tried multiple times to connect the iPhone to the pc via Bluetooth.

I have run the troubleshooter, enabled the Bluetooth Support Service to Automatic, updated the Bluetooth driver (Intel), and I have tried older versions of the driver as well.  I have all the windows update patches installed.  I have restarted my phone and pc too many times.  I have removed the Bluetooth driver and deleted the driver to let Windows select the driver.  Nothing works.

My iPhone will pair with the pc, but is unable to connect.  Every time I try to connect, it tells me either the connection failed, or, my pc is not supported, and the only option I have on the iPhone is to 'Forget Device'.

From my searching, this is a prevalent issue with iPhone's and Windows 10.  My other Bluetooth devices all connect without issue.  I have ran across multiple steps to troubleshoot, none work.

Please verify if there is something I am missing?

    Hi DianeFrigon,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums

You may want to answer these questions to get more clarity on this issue:

    1. Are you getting any error message?
    2. Have you made any changes to the computer prior to the issue?
    3. Did you try paring Android mobile to PC?

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

    Step 1:

Turn on Bluetooth on your iPhone which you link to pair on Windows PC.

Note: Turn on Bluetooth on iPhone, tap settings, tap Bluetooth, and then turn on Bluetooth.

    1. Open settings on Windows 10 PC
    2. Select Devices and select Bluetooth
    3. Below Manage Bluetooth devices select, turn on the Bluetooth option.
    4. Windows 10 will start searching for Bluetooth devices, in few seconds, your IPhone name will appear in manage Bluetooth devices sections.
    5. Click on pair button
    6. It will prompt for the passcode on Windows 10 PC
    7. Check whether passcode is appearing on your IPhone
    8. Click Yes button on your PC, and then tap pair option on your IPhone to pair with Windows 10 PC via Bluetooth.

    Hope it helps

    Hi Mithin,

    thanks for answering quickly.

to answer your questions: yes I have made changes to both devices as updates for respectives devices where «required » other than that on the iphone there are 2 differents error messages that pops up and it does not looks like there is a specific pattern for it; either it sais that horseplay( my pc name) is not supported or it says that horseplay isn’t turned on or bluetooth isn’t on.

On the pc 3 different things happens 1- my Iphone just dosn’t shows

2- it shows and says that connected succesfuly (but its not)

and 3- codes appears on both devices then paired but doesn’t connects
