My parents have a new Lenovo Desk top pc. They called an online (no offense) Geek. He created a restore point and proceeded to restore the pc. Somebody became impatient and stopped it 1 hour into it. the computer lost apps including the app for the Microsoft Store. So I cant even get knew apps. If I Reset windows 10 will restore the programs including the apps.

PS I have done command prompt scans and didn't help.

                                                                                                             Thank You  John N

    Hi Elmer

Yes, stopping that System Restore was not the best thing to do and that would corrupt Windows, sometimes beyond repair . . .

You are correct, the best thing to do is Reset Windows, that will fix Windows and recover the built in apps like the Store . . .etc.

You will however need to re-install any 3rd party applications that was installed on that PC after resetting Windows . ..

Resetting the PC back to factory settings should restore Windows back to it's former glory.

Or you can try a USB repair or similar if you wish. Just let me know. But otherwise, a full reset should fix the issues you are having as it will bring Windows back to its original state.
