The game was working and I had it installed on D: drive, I formatted the d: drive and uninstalled the game.  I was going to re-install and got this error.  I have talked to entropiauniverse.com and they have not got back with me, so what can I do?

I try every hard drive in my system (all 5 drives) and the same result.

I am not finding any way to get the game to install, well the launcher to install.  There are two parts to the game, one is the launcher that sets up the system to be used, then the game is started with the variables and settings in place.

I have had this problem for months and done nothing about it, it happen just after uninstalling the game and formatting the hard drive D: I am not sure why it is not working, I get the download from their web site even, and it not work. I get the file "entropia_universe_setup.exe" downloaded.  Then I try to install it I get a window to open if I run it from the web page telling me it is not a valid app.

I have selected the "Install anyway" then I get the window above "Launcher error".  I have found there are two sizes one is 19,051 kb and the other is 19055 kb.  Both have done the same.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

This usually occurs if the exe file is not executable or the path you have selected is invalid. I would suggest you to try installing the game on a different drive, just to check if we are able to execute the file. Also try to install the file on a different machine to confirm if the exe file is executable.

Please reply with the results so that we can help you better.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing back. I really appreciate your time and patience.

In that case, the setup file can be corrupted. I would suggest you to try running the exe file on a different machine. Alternatively you can also try creating a new user account and try running it on the new user account. You can create a user account with the instructions provided in the article: Create a user account in Windows.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing back. I really appreciate your time and patience.

This seems to be an issue with the exe file, as such I would suggest you to download the setup file once again and then run it.

Also regarding the second warning message which you are getting: The app you're trying to install isn't a verified app from the store. You can disable this option. To disable it, please follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Open Windows Settings (pressing Windows key + I).
    2. Then click on Apps.
    3. Then choosing "Allow apps from anywhere" from the dropdown menu under installing apps.

Also could you please help me with the version of windows 10 that you are using?

Note: To check the version of Windows 10, press Windows key + R (run dialog box will open). Then type "Winver" to check the version of Windows.

    Hope this helps.
